Stamparatus, Paper Pumpkin, Sale-A-Bration & More!

Easy Multiple Stamping with Stamparatus

This weekend I was able to play around with Stampin’ Up!’s new stamp positioning tool, the Stamparatus.  Oh…My…Gosh!!!!

I have to admit when I heard SU was coming out with a positioning tool, I thought…ho, hum…I already have one; they’re really kind of late to the game.  I won’t need that.  But, little did I know how truly innovative their design was going to be; it’s leaps and bounds ahead of any of the competition.

For me, what makes this tool truly the best are the two removable plates that in reality give you four, count ‘em, four, different locations to place your stamps.  You can stamp twice as much, twice as fast!

I was able to stamp these tulip bouquets in no time using the Stamparatus.  You get perfect positioning every single time.  And if you don't get quite enough ink on it the first time (which I did a few times)?  Just re-ink the stamp and stamp again – no worries about lining it up perfectly.  The tool does it for you.  I’m not sure yet what I’m using these tulips for, but once I got started stamping them, I just couldn’t stop!  Hmm…maybe I'll use them for a set of matching note cards!

Well, anyway…I had lots of fun this weekend!  I was lucky to be able to preorder the Stamparatus, and, unfortunately, the preorder window has closed.  But this wonderful tool will be in the upcoming Annual Catalog, available starting June 1st.  I know it seems like a long way away, but I was just so excited, I had to share it now.  So start planning, because you’ll have to have it!

Having Fun with Brusho Crystal Color

Have you tried Stampin' Up!'s new Brusho Crystal Colour?

I did, and it is loads of fun…really got my creative juices flowing.

So what is Brusho? Well, I think of them as little buckets of watercolor goodness!  It’s actually a powdered form of watercolor ink that literally 'explodes' when it comes in contact with water.  Stampin’ Up! has five colors available:  brilliant red, moss green, yellow, gamboge (red & yellow mixed) and Prussian blue.

There are lots of ways to use Brusho to achieve beautiful results:

1)  You can sprinkle it into a palette and make watercolor ‘pools’ to use with a brush.

2) You can sprinkle it onto a dry surface and then add water, either with an aqua painter or spritz it on.

3) You can sprinkle it onto an already wet surface.

The less powder you apply, the lighter the hue.  You only need a couple drops to make a beautiful pastel, or use more powder for a deep, rich color.  You can mix colors together to achieve a variety of colors; the possibilities are endless.

I created these cards on my first attempt at using Brusho…it's sooooo easy to get beautiful results!

Here are links to purchase the Brusho Crystal Colour set plus a couple tools that you can use when working with Brusho. If you don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I would love the opportunity to share in your creative journey!  I'll be happy to answer any questions you have about what I've described in my blog or about any Stampin' Up! product.
